Market Recovery - pausing for a breathe?

I believe that the stock market recovery suggests that the economy is recovering due to its known status as a leading economic indicator. This leads me to believe that consumer buying will go on an up-tick "soon" (my best guess is by start of 2011) as individuals start feeling more confident in their jobs and the general state of the economy.

Without any price targets, I am going to watch stocks that rely on retail consumers such as Sony (SNE), Amazon (AMZN) and even Toyota (TM). I tend to avoid buying based entirely on macro-trends, but I find that there are a number of stocks being undervalued due to the depressed view of the retail market.
